Preschool Groups

Our Preschool therapy groups have been designed to meet the needs of children in 3 year old and 4 year old kinder. Preschool is such an important developmental stage and skills learnt in these years are crucial for success at school.

Our therapists will screen your child to ensure they are suited to the group you are interested. We will also liase with teachers to let them know what we are working on.

  • CHATS 4 KIDS

    Designed for Children in 3 year old and 4 year old Kinder, this group works on building important skills needed in preschool. Listening and attention, social and imaginary play, language and cognitive skills and gross motor and fine motor skills.

    90 min class that runs weekly for 8 weeks during Term 4.

    Getting Ready for School

    Designed for Children in 4 year old Kinder, these groups focus on listening and attention skills, working in a group, social skills, langauge skills and getting ready for school skills.

    90 min class that runs weekly for 8 weeks during Term 4.

    Preschool Language Group

    Designed specifically for children needing extra help with their speech and langauge skills, this group works on a range of skills to help boost their langauge abilities.

    60 min class that runs weekly for 8 weeks during Term 4.

  • Handwriting - Beginners

    Fine motor and handwriting skills are an important part of a child’s school life. Handwriting skills are linked to a child’s self confidence in the classroom and impact heavily on a child’s ability to participate in classroom activities. Working with our Occupational Therapists, the group will focus on pencil grip, improving sitting posture, improving letter formation, size and directionality and grammar rules.

    60 min class that runs weekly for 8 weeks during Term 4.

  • Tarzan Kids

    Gross motor skills involve movements using the large muscles of the body. They include things like running, jumping, catching and throwing balls, and other large muscle activities. Gross motor skills are essential for children in order for them to participate in everyday activities. Working with our Occupational Therapists, and using our new specialised equipment this class works on core strength, balance and coordination, flexibility
